The Cost Change Report is a summary of all changes that occurred in a product’s cost. This report helps you understand how each product contributes to your net profit.
ℹ️ Product cost in inventory is calculated using the weighted average cost method as follows:
(Total current value + Total new value added) ÷ (Total current quantity + Total new quantity).
Accessing the Report
Go to Reports > Stock Control > Cost Change Report.
Click on the report to view details.
Searching for a Product or Invoice
You can search by:
Product name
Product code (SKU)
Purchase invoice number
Filtering Report Data
Click Filter.
You can filter results by:
Invoice number
Date range
Location
Product name
Product rate
Product code (SKU)
Cost (Initial, Before Purchase, Purchase Cost, After Purchase)
Quantity (Before Purchase, In Purchase Order, After Purchase)
Click Apply.
Sorting Data
Click on the Sort by field and choose how you want the data to be displayed.
Report Data
Transaction Type | Invoice number. |
Transaction Date | The date the transaction was carried out. |
Location | The branch selected when performing the transaction. |
Product Name | The product name recorded in the system. |
Product Code (SKU) | The product’s SKU. |
Initial Cost | The first cost entered for the product when registered in the system (fixed). |
Cost Before Transaction | The cost recorded before the transaction. |
Quantity Before Transaction | The product quantity available in the system before the transaction. |
Transaction Cost | The new cost added before the transaction. |
Transaction Quantity | The new product quantity added in the invoice. |
Cost After Transaction | The product’s cost after the transaction. |
Quantity After Transaction | The total stock quantity after the transaction. |
Exporting the Report
Click Export.
Select xlsx.
The Excel file will be downloaded to your device.
