Know Your Sales by Branch

Learn how to use the Sales by Location Report and export it to Excel.

The Sales by Location Report helps you identify which branches generate the most revenue, the quantities sold in each branch, and other key data. You can rely on it whether you manage a single branch or multiple branches.


Accessing the Report

  • Go to Reports > Sales > Sales by Location Report.

  • Click the report to view details.

Searching in the Report

  • Search by location name to view its details.

Filtering Results

  1. Click Filter.

  2. You can filter results by:

    • Date range

    • Location

  3. Click Apply

Sorting Data

  • Click the Sort by field.

  • Select the sorting option you prefer to display the data.

Report Sections

  • Summary: Provides an overview of sales by all locations.

  • Details: Shows branch-by-branch sales details.

ℹ️ Note: Data is displayed according to the date range or filters you applied.

Report Data

Location

The branch where the sale took place.

Sales

Total completed sales for the branch (excluding VAT), minus returns and discounts.

Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)

The total cost of sold products, minus the total cost of returned products.

Gross Margin

Branch sales (excluding VAT) minus COGS.

Sales Tax

The total tax collected from taxable products at all applicable rates.

Sales (Tax Inclusive)

Total completed sales in the branch (including VAT), minus returns and discounts.

Sold Quantity

The number of products sold in the branch before deducting returns.

Returned Quantity

The number of products returned in the branch.

ℹ️ Note: Returned quantities may exceed sold quantities if your business allows cross-branch returns.

ℹ️ Note: The table contains multiple columns. Use the horizontal scroll bar to view them all.

Exporting the Report

  1. Click Export:

    • To export detailed data: select xlsx.

    • To export the summary: select summary xlsx.

  2. The Excel file will be downloaded to your device.

1. How can I compare sales between two branches in the report?

Click Filter > Select the branches you want > Apply.

2. How do I identify the top-selling branches?

Click the Sort by field and select Highest Sales First.

3. Do online store sales appear in the Sales by Location Report?

Yes, online store sales are included under the location linked to the e-commerce store.

4. How can I view total branch sales for a single day?

Go to Sales by Location Report > Filter > Select the specific date > Apply.

5. Why don’t I see all data in the report?

Use the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the table to view all data, or click Export to see all details in Excel.
