The Home Page gives you a full overview of your business performance and helps you monitor sales and make informed financial decisions to keep your operations running smoothly.
Access the Home Page
Click the first option in the left-hand menu of the screen.
Filter Options
Select the branch you want from the Branches field.
Choose a time period (up to 3 months).
Select the specific time you want to display data.
ℹ️ Note:
Branch filters do not apply to: Latest Sales, Activity Logs, or Registers.
Time period filters do not apply to: Inventory Value, Latest Sales, Activity Logs, or Registers.
Sales Overview
Sales: Total sales (tax inclusive) for the selected period. You can also view last month’s sales and set a monthly target.
Sales Transactions: The number of sales invoices within the selected period (excluding returns).
💡 Example: If you issued 147 invoices and had 1 return, total sales transactions= 147.
Gross Profit: Total sales (excluding tax) minus the COGS (Cost of Goods Sold).
Net Income: Total sales (excluding tax), minus COGS, expenses, and damaged items from inventory counts.
ℹ️ Note: COGS is calculated using the average estimated cost, based on the product’s initial cost in inventory and changes from purchase orders.
⚠️ Important: Net income does not apply to service items or products with inventory management disabled.
Sales Chart
Hover over the chart to see details:
Sales by Period (returns are not deducted).
💡 Example: Total sales today = 537.01 SAR, sales transactions = 8, returns = 0. If a return happens, only the returns value changes; total sales remain unchanged.
Sales by Top Products (after returns).
💡 Example: A product sold for 58 SAR (tax inclusive), sold 7 times = 406 SAR. After returning 1 unit, sales = 348 SAR (6 transactions).
Sales by Top Categories (after returns).
💡 Example: Category sales = 500 SAR. After a 16 SAR return, sales = 484 SAR.
Sales by Branches with Inventory Value (returns not deducted).
💡 Example: Branch sales = 2,583.99 SAR. After a 100 SAR return, the full 2,583.99 SAR still appears here.
Sales by Salesmen (after returns).
💡 Example: Sales for Mohammed this month = 300 SAR. After a 10 SAR return, total = 290 SAR.
FAQs
1. Do manual journal entries affect net income on the Home page?
No. Manual entries do not affect net income or any other figures on the Home page.
2. Why is the “Sales by Salesmen” chart empty?
Make sure the Salesman feature is enabled via:
Sales & Customers > POS Sales Settings. Learn more here.
3. Can I view the inventory value for a specific past date?
No. The inventory value only shows the current value of products in stock.
4. Can I restrict user access to the Home page?
Yes. Go to:
Settings > Users > Edit user
Go to User Permissions > Dashboard
Enable or disable the required permissions
Click Save Custom User
5. How can I verify the COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) used in Net Income?
Select the same period from the Home page.
Go to Reports > Inventory > Product Performance Report.
Match the time period.
Check the COGS column for details.
