How to Add and Manage Locations in Rewaa

Learn how to add a new branch, copy prices, enable registers, or deactivate a location when needed.

Managing branches and warehouses is essential to the success of your business. With Rewaa, you can easily add and manage your locations. This article explains everything in detail.

ℹ️ Note: The number of locations depends on your subscription plan, and fees apply for each additional location. For more details, check the subscription plans and pricing page.


Add a New Location

  1. Go to Settings > Location > Add New Location.

  2. Enter the following details:

    • Location Code (required): A unique code for each branch.

    • Location Name (required): Displayed on invoices.

    • Commercial Registration Number for the branch.

    • Location Address: Required for e-invoicing. Use your official national address.

  3. Click Next, Copy Prices.

  4. Read the instructions, then click I Understand.

  5. Select the location to copy prices from, then click Start Copying.

    ℹ️ Note: The following will be copied: Retail Price, Wholesale Price, Buy Price, Tax Code.

  6. Once copying is complete, click Location List.

  7. You can now assign users, manage invoices, and handle inventory in this branch.

    ℹ️ Note: When you add a new location, all products from the main location are copied but with a quantity of 0. You can later add quantities through:

  • Products & Inventory > Products,

  • or via Purchase Invoices or Stock Transfers.


Deactivate a Location

Before deactivating a location, make sure to:

  • Close all registers in the location.

  • Complete all stock transfer requests linked to this location.

  • Ensure the location is not set as the warehouse for your eCommerce store.

Steps to deactivate a location:

  1. Go to Settings > Location.

  2. Click the ⚙️ icon > Deactivate Location.

  3. Click Disable.

  4. The location will be deactivated immediately.

ℹ️ Once deactivated, the following details are hidden until you reactivate the location:

  • Inventory details (quantities and prices of the branch).

  • Register details from Register Management.

To reactivate the location:

  1. Go to Settings > Location.

  2. Click the ⚙️ icon > Activate Location.

  3. Click Enable.

  4. Inventory details will return with the previous quantities.


FAQs

  1. Can I edit the location code or name?
    Yes. Click the ⚙️ icon > Edit Location > Update Data > Save.

  2. Can I add a main warehouse and several branches?
    Yes. Add all your locations, then transfer inventory between them when needed.

  3. Can I delete a location from the platform?
    No. Locations cannot be deleted, but they can be deactivated.

  4. Will deactivating a location affect past sales reports?
    No. Deactivating a location does not affect past reports or sales data.

  5. Can I deactivate a location temporarily only?
    Yes. You can deactivate a location and reactivate it whenever needed.

  6. Are there fees for reactivating a location?
    No. Reactivation is free of charge.

  7. I see the message: “Deactivation not possible due to a pending request.” What should I do?
    Complete the pending stock transfer requests for that location from the Stock Transfer page, then try again.

  8. When I reactivate a location, will product quantities return as before?
    Yes. The inventory details will return with the same quantities.

  9. How do I enable registers in the new location?

  • Go to Settings > Location.

  • Click the ⚙️ icon > Edit Location.

  • At the bottom of the page, click Enable Registers.

  • Click Enable, then Save.

  1. Will eCommerce orders stop syncing with Rewaa if I deactivate a location?
    If you try to deactivate a location linked to an eCommerce store, you’ll see this message: “You cannot deactivate this location because an app is active.” Change the default warehouse location from: Available Apps > My Apps > Settings.

    ⚠️ Warning: Changing the default warehouse will update product quantities based on the new location.
