3 Easy Steps to Edit User Permission

Learn how to update user permissions and enable access to the required sections based on their role.

After adding the user to the platform, you can edit their permissions according to their assigned tasks. This article explains all the steps.

ℹ️ Note: This article explains how to manage and edit user permissions in general. If you need to set Cashier permissions, click here for detailed steps.


Step 1: Access the User Information

  1. Go to Settings > Users.

  2. Click the ⚙️ icon > Edit User.

Step 2: Edit User Permissions

Permission to Access Other Branches Data

  1. From the user’s basic information, click the Location field.

  2. Check (✔️) the branches the user is allowed to access.

Permission to Access Basic Location Information

  1. (Name, Code, Address…)

  2. Go to Location Permission > enable the required options.

  3. Go to Settings Permission > Company Overview and enable the required options.

Permission to Access Dashboard Data

  1. (Sales, Activity Logs, Collected Amounts, Stock Value…)

  2. Go to Dashboard Permission and enable the required options.

Permission to Access Reports

(Reports List, Inventory Reports, Tax Reports…)

  • Go to Reports Permission.

  • Enable Reports List.

  • Open the required report section (Inventory, Tax, Sales, Stock Control) and enable the required options.

  • For Accounting Reports:

    • Enable Reports List.

    • Go to Applications > Accounting App and enable all accounting permissions.

Permission to Access Products & Inventory

  1. (View product list, update product details, print barcode…)

  2. Go to Products Permission.

  3. Enable Product List permissions.

  4. Enable Product Details permissions.

Permission to Access eCommerce Orders

  1. Go to Sale Invoices, eCommerce Orders & Customers Permission.

  2. Enable the required options under Order List, Order Detail, Order Settings.

Permission to Access Sales Invoices

  1. Go to Sale Invoices, eCommerce Orders & Customers Permission.

  2. Enable the required options under Invoice List, Invoice Detail.

Permission to Access Customer List & Management

  1. Go to Sale Invoices, eCommerce Orders & Customers Permission.

  2. Enable the required options under Customer List, Customer Detail.

Permission to Access Stock-Related Operations

(Purchase Invoices, Return Invoices, Transfer Stock, Stock Count)

  1. Go to Purchases & Suppliers Permission.

  2. Enable the required options for each operation.

Permission to Access Supplier List & Management

  1. Go to Purchases & Suppliers Permission.

  2. Enable the required options under Supplier List, Supplier Detail, Payment List.

Permission to Access Custom Fields

  1. Go to Custom Field Permission.

  2. Enable the required options.

Permission to Access Applications List

(App list, install/uninstall apps…)

  1. Go to Applications Permission.

  2. Enable the required options.

Permission to Access Application Details

(Promotions, Accounting, Expenses, Zid, Salla, ZATCA Integration…)

  1. Go to Applications Permission > Select the Application.

  2. Enable the required options.

Permission to Access POS

  1. Go to Applications Permission > Rewaa New POS.

  2. Choose one of the available options: Store Manager, Cashier, Custom.

Permission to Access Settings

(Company Overview, Users, Payment Methods, Taxes, Fiscal Year, Subscription Details…)

  1. Go to Settings Permission.

  2. Enable the required options.

Permission to Access Stock Operations

  1. Go to Stock Operations Permission.

  2. Enable the required options.

Step 3: Save Changes

  • Click Save Custom User. The updated permissions will be applied to the user’s account.


FAQs

  1. Can I set different permissions for the user per branch?

    No, when multiple branches are assigned, the same permissions apply to all branches.

  2. Does assigning a branch to a user prevent them from viewing sales invoices of other branches?
    No. To restrict this, disable the option Allow managing invoices from all branches under Applications > Rewaa New POS.

  3. Can I control user permissions to access specific report data only?

    No. Reports permissions only allow viewing or exporting the full report.
