How to Sell a Product with Zero or Negative Quantity

Enable the “Sell when quantity ≤ 0” option to issue sales invoices for products not added to the platform’s stock.

Sometimes, you may need to sell products available in your physical inventory but showing as zero quantity on the platform — for example, to fulfill urgent orders. This article explains the available method and how to use it.

ℹ️ Note:

When the Sell at Zero or Negative Quantity option is enabled, it will apply to all products in the sales screen and cannot be limited to a single product. Issuing invoices this way will result in negative stock quantities, so you should only use it when necessary.


Enable the “Sell at Zero or Negative Quantity” Option

  1. Go to Sales & Customers > Sales Settings.

  2. Click Sales.

  3. Enable the Sell when quantity ≤ 0 option.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Go to the sales register and start issuing invoices.

  1. Can I apply the “Sell at Zero or Negative Quantity” option to products tracked by batch or serial number?
    No, this option cannot be applied to tracked products.

  2. Can I enable the “Sell at Zero or Negative Quantity” option for a specific sale and then disable it immediately?
    Yes, you can enable and disable the option as needed.

  3. Can I control user permissions for accessing and enabling the “Sell at Zero or Negative Quantity” option?
    Yes, you can set user permissions:

    • Go to Settings > Users.

    • Click the ⚙️ icon and select Edit User.

    • Go to User Permissions > Applications > Rewaa POS.

    • Make sure the Sales Settings option is disabled.

    • Click Save Custom User.

  4. Can I enable the “Sell at Zero Quantity” option from the Rewaa Cashier app?
    No, this option can only be enabled from the platform using a browser.
