How to Add Extra Options for Products on Rewaa

Learn how to create extra options for products and use them in the sales screen.

When selling some products, you may need to ask the customer about their preferences, such as the type of milk with coffee or gift wrapping. Rewaa platform allows you to add these options easily.


Create Extra Options for a Simple Product

  1. Go to Products & Inventory > Products.

  2. Click on the product name.

  3. At the bottom of the page, check (✔) This product has extra options.

  4. Enter the following details:

    • Extra option name

    • Price

  5. If the option is part of another product:

    • Enable This option is part of another product.

    • Select the product so its quantity will be deducted.

  6. To add more options, click New Extra Option.

  7. Click Save.

Create Extra Options for a Variable Product

  1. Go to Products & Inventory > Products.

  2. Click on the product name.

  3. Go to the required product type, then click Add more details.

  4. Confirm the product type.

  5. Check (✔) This product has extra options.

  6. Enter the following details:

    • Extra option name

    • Price

  7. If the option is part of another product:

    • Enable This option is part of another product.

    • Select the product so its quantity will be deducted.

  8. To add more options, click New Extra Option.

  9. Click Save Details.

How to Add Extra Options in the Sales Screen

  1. Add the product to the sales screen.

  2. Click the arrow next to the total price.

  3. The extra options will appear.

  4. Enter the required quantity in the quantity field.

    Yes, you can.

  2. Is there a limit to the number of extra options?
    No, you can add as many options as you need.

    Yes, you can. Just set the extra option price to 0.

    Yes, they will appear on the customer invoice and the kitchen invoice.

  5. Can I add extra options to a composite product?
    No, extra options can only be added to single or variable products.

    Yes, click the delete icon next to the option name, then click Save.

  7. What is the difference between Extra Options and Custom Fields?

  • Extra Options: These are ready-made fields available within the product data that you can activate and use directly, such as adding a coconut milk option, gift wrapping, etc. You can add an unlimited number of extra options.

  • Custom Fields: This feature allows you to create new fields that are not already available on the platform to fit your business needs, such as table number or order type (Takeaway/Dine-in). Each subscription plan includes a limited number of custom fields.
