How to Monitor Each Sales Register

Learn about register statuses, operations, printing closing reports, and viewing session invoices.

The Cash Management section is the main reference for tracking all registers on the platform. Through it, you can see the opening and closing times of each register, the user’s name, amounts collected by payment method, session invoices, and other operational and financial details.


Accessing Sales Register Management

  • Go to Sales & Customers > Cash Management.

  • A list of all open and closed registers will appear.

  • Click the (👁️) icon next to the register you want to view.

Register Statuses

  • Open: The register has been opened, but details will not appear until it is closed.

  • Balanced: The register was closed, and the amounts entered by the employee matched the amounts calculated by the platform.

  • Unbalanced: The register was closed, but the amounts entered by the employee did not match the amounts calculated by the platform.

ℹ️ Note: Register status is for monitoring only and does not affect sales.

Payment Methods

All available payment methods for the register will appear, along with the collected amounts:

  • Counted Amount: The amount entered by the employee when closing the register.

  • Expected Amount: The amount automatically calculated from sales transactions.

  • Difference: The difference between entered and expected amounts (appears if the register is unbalanced).

Register Summary

  • Displays the total collected amounts from when the register was opened until it was closed.

Add/Withdraw

  • Displays all withdrawal and addition operations performed while the register was open.

Export Register Details to Excel

  • Click Export on the left side of the screen.

  • An Excel file will be downloaded to your device.

Printing the Closing Report

  • When closing the register: The report appears automatically.

  • To print the report: Select the printer name and click Print.

  • From Sales Register Management:

    1. Click the (👁️) icon next to the register.

    2. Click Print Report at the bottom of the page.

    3. Complete the printing steps.

Session Invoices

(Invoices issued from the register during its open session).

  1. Click the (👁️) icon next to the register.

  2. Select Session Invoices.

  3. Click the invoice to view its details.


FAQs

1. I entered the amount correctly, why does the register show as unbalanced?

The amounts must match exactly. Even a few cents difference will make the register unbalanced.

2. Should I add petty cash when closing?

Yes, add the remaining petty cash along with cash sales so the register shows as balanced.

3. Can I modify the register status or amounts after closing?

No, you cannot modify the register status or change amounts after closing.

4. Can I set a fixed time to open and close the register daily?

No, this feature is not currently available. You can share your suggestion through the Suggestions platform.

5. Can I restrict user permissions to access Sales Register Management?

Yes, you can:

  • Go to Settings > Users > ⚙️ > Edit User.

  • Go to User Permissions > Apps > Rewaa New POS.

  • Disable the Sales Register Management permission.

  • Click Save Custom User.

6. I have multiple locations, can I display registers for a specific location only?

Yes, use the filter next to Location and select the desired location.
