Rewaa allows you to add promotions on certain products provided that customers purchase other products (Buy X Get Y). In this article, you will learn the steps to create this type of promotion and add all the details.
Types of Promotions in Rewaa

Buy X Get Y
Step 1: Choose the Promotion Type
Go to Sales & Customers > Promotions.
Click Create Promotion.
Select the promotion type: Buy X Get Y.
Step 2: Add Basic Details
Promotion Name
Start Date and End Date
Start Time and End Time
⚠️ Note: If you don’t specify an end date and time, the promotion will remain active until you stop it manually.
Selected Locations (the branch or branches where the promotion will be applied).
Step 3: Add Details for the First Product (X)
(This is the product the customer must buy to activate the promotion.)
Enter the quantity the customer must purchase.
Select the products:
All Products: All products available in the selected branch.
Selected Products:
Search by product name or SKU.
Check (✔) the product(s).
Click Add Products.
Selected Categories:
Search by main or sub-category.
Check (✔) the category.
Click Add Categories.
Import Products using Excel:
Click Import Products > Download Template.
Open the Excel file.
Add the SKUs of the products.
Return to the platform.
Click Browse File or drag and drop the file.
Click Add Products. Products will be added immediately.
To view uploaded products, click View Products.
Step 4: Add Details for the Second Product (Y)
(This is the product the customer will get if the condition is met.)
Enter the quantity the customer will receive.
Select the products:
All Products: All products available in the selected branch.
Selected Products:
Search by product name or SKU.
Check (✔) the product(s).
Click Add Products.
Selected Categories:
Search by main or sub-category.
Check (✔) the category.
Click Add Categories.
Import Products using Excel
Click Import Products > Download Template.
Open the Excel file.
Add the SKUs of the products.
Return to the platform.
Click Browse File or drag and drop the file.
Click Add Products. Products will be added immediately.
To view uploaded products, click View Products.
Step 5: Choose the Discount Type and Value
(This is the discount applied to product Y when the condition is met.)
Free Product → The customer will get product Y for free.
Amount Off→ The customer will get product Y with a fixed discount amount.
Percentage Off→ The customer will get product Y with a percentage discount.
Enter the discount value.
Step 6: Launch the Promotion
Click Create Promotion.
The promotion will be created immediately and will apply in the cashier screen based on the start date.
Promotions in the Cashier Screen
The promotion will appear automatically in the sales screen when an eligible product is selected in the same branch.
FAQs
1. Do promotions affect product prices linked with e-commerce stores (Salla, Zid)?
No, promotions in Rewaa do not affect prices in linked online stores.
2. Can I edit an active promotion?
Yes, you can edit some details. For more information, click here.
3. Can I create different promotions for the same product in different branches?
Yes, you can. Create a separate promotion for each branch and select the same product.
4. Can I create promotions for products tracked by serial number?
Yes, promotions can be applied to all product types.
5. If I didn’t set an end date and time, how can I stop a promotion?
Click the (🖊) icon in the Filter column, then set the end date and time. For more details, click here.
6. I created a Buy X Get Y promotion and selected categories. How is the discount applied to the customer?
If the customer buys one product from each category: the discount applies to the product from the second category.
If the customer buys multiple products from the second category: the discount applies to the lowest-priced product.
