How to View and Manage Promotions in Rewaa

Learn how to manage promotions: edit, delete, stop, reactivate, and track their statuses.

After adding promotions on the platform, you can easily manage them. This article explains all the details.


Accessing the Promotions List

  • Go to Sales & Customers > Promotions.

  • All promotions you created will appear.

Searching for Promotions

  • Search for the promotion by its name.

Promotion Statuses

  • Active: Applied to products in the cashier screen.

  • Ended: The promotion has ended.

  • Scheduled: The promotion will be activated later based on the start date.

Customizing Columns

From the Promotions list:

  1. Click Custom Columns.

  2. Check (✔) the data you want to display, such as: Promotion State, Start Date, End Date.

Editing a Promotion

From the Promotions list:

  1. Click the edit (🖊️) icon in the Filter column.

  2. Update the required details, such as:

    • Promotion Name

    • End Date and Time

    • Change selected locations

    • Add or remove products

  3. Click Save Changes.

Deleting a Promotion

From the Promotions list:

  1. Check (✔) the promotion.

  2. Click the delete (🗑️) icon.

  3. Confirm the deletion.

⚠️ Note: If a promotion is deleted while Active, products included in the promotion in the sales cart will behave as follows:

  • If products included in the promotion are already in the cart:
    The cashier can complete the sale and issue the invoice with the applied discount. The discount will not apply to new invoices issued afterward.

  • If no products from the promotion are in the cart:

    The promotion will be permanently deleted and won’t apply to any products added later.


Stopping an Active Promotion

From the Promotions list:

  1. Click the edit (🖊️) icon in the Filter column.

  2. Set an end date and time:

    • If you choose a past date, the promotion will stop immediately and its status will change to Expired.

    • If you choose a future date, the promotion will stop at the specified date and time.

  3. Click Save Changes.

Reactivating an Expired Promotion

From the Promotions list:

  1. Click the edit (🖊️) icon in the Filter column.

  2. Change the end date and time.

  3. Click Save Changes.


FAQs

1. Does deleting an expired promotion affect invoices and reports?

No, deleting promotions does not affect previous invoices and reports.

2. How can I view currently active promotions?

From the Promotions list:

  1. Click the filter icon in the Promotion State column.

  2. Check (✔) Active.

  3. Click Apply. Active promotions will appear.

3. Can I delete all promotions at once?

Yes, you can:

  1. Check (✔) the box in the Promotion Name column to select all promotions.

  2. Click Actions > Delete.

  3. Confirm the deletion.

4. Can I notify customers about promotions?

This feature is not available in Rewaa. You can submit your suggestion via the Suggestions platform.

5. How can I edit the discount percentage after saving a promotion?

You cannot edit the discount percentage after saving. If needed, stop the promotion and create a new one with the required details.

6. Why don’t I see the Promotions section in the sidebar?

Possible reasons:

  • You haven’t installed the Promotions app on your account. [Click here to learn how to install it.]

  • Your account permissions are limited. Contact the account owner to activate them.
