How to Connect Printers with Rewaa Cashier App

Learn how to connect multiple printers with the Rewaa Cashier App on Android devices.

The Multiple Printers feature allows you to send kitchen order tickets (Kitchen Receipts) automatically to different sections in the kitchen based on your setup. This article explains all the details about supported printers, setup, and usage.

Requirements for Using Multiple Printers

  • An internet router, with printers connected via LAN port or USB cable connected to the cashier device.

  • Rewaa Cashier App installed on an Android device.

How Multiple Printers Work

  • By connecting printers to the internet router via LAN.

  • By connecting printers directly to Android devices via USB cable.

Automatic Printer Setup

  1. Make sure the printer is connected to the router or via USB.

  2. Go to Cash Register > Sales Screen.

  3. Tap Printers.

  4. Select the required printer.

  5. Choose the receipts and number of copies, then tap Next.

  6. Enter a printer name, then tap Next.

  7. Printer setup completed → tap OK.

  8. Tap Test to try printing.

ℹ️ Only receipts added from the platform (browser) will appear. Adding new receipts directly from the Rewaa Cashier App will be supported in future updates.


Manual Printer Setup (via IP)

If the printer does not appear in the list, connect it manually using its IP address:

Get the IP Address:

  • Ensure paper is loaded in the printer.

  • Restart the printer.

  • Hold the Feed button (near the paper outlet) or press it 3 times quickly.

  • A configuration sheet will print, containing the printer’s IP address.

    • Example: 192.168.0.100

Connect the Printer:

  1. Go to Cash Register > Sales Screen.

  2. Tap Printers.

  3. Tap Add Printer Manually.

  4. Select the printer model, then tap Next.

  5. Enter the printed IP address, then tap Next.

  6. Once the printer is detected, tap Next.

  7. Choose the receipts and number of copies, then tap Next.

  8. Enter a printer name, then tap Next.

  9. Printer setup completed → tap OK.

  10. Tap Test to try printing.

Automatic Printing of Receipts

Automatic printing lets you print sales receipts and kitchen tickets immediately after completing a sale, without pressing the print button manually. This feature is enabled by default once the printer is connected and configured.

Disable Automatic Printing:

  • Go to Printers.

  • Tap Auto Print Receipts.

  • Turn off the toggle for automatic printing.

  • You can now print receipts manually from the cash register.


FAQs

1. Do I need to reconnect printers every time I log in?

No, you don’t, unless you clear the app’s storage data.

2. How can I change receipts or increase the number of copies?

Go to Printers > Select Printer > Edit Receipts and Copies.

3. Can I connect multiple Android devices to the same printer?

Yes, you can.

4. Do the printer and Android device need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi router?

Yes. Both must be on the same router and within its coverage range.

ℹ️ The router’s coverage range may vary depending on its specifications. You can check your router’s manual for the exact range.

5. Can I use Multiple Printers on iOS or Windows devices?

No. This feature is supported only on Android devices.

6. What if the printer stops working or disconnects while using Rewaa Cashier App?

  • If connected via LAN:

    • Check printer paper.

    • Ensure LAN cable is properly connected to printer and router.

    • Check network port lights (green/orange).

    • Make sure the cashier device is connected to the same network.

  • If connected via USB:

    • Check printer paper.

    • Ensure USB cable is properly connected to both devices.

    • Confirm the printer is powered on.

After checking, tap Connect. The printer will reconnect without repeating the setup steps (settings are saved).

7. How many printers can I connect?

There’s no limit. You can connect as many printers as you need.

8. Can I enable/disable auto-print for a specific printer only?

No. Auto-print applies to all printers at once.

9. I want to disable auto-print but don’t see the option—why?

Make sure your Rewaa Cashier App is updated from Google Play.
