How to Add a Packaged Product on Rewaa Platform

Learn how to add products that can be sold as single units or in packs (cartons), whether the product is a Single Product or a Variable Product.

In your business, you may need to sell products individually (per piece) or in packs (6 pieces, 12 pieces, etc.). Rewaa platform allows you to add and link packs automatically, so that stock quantities are updated directly during sales or purchases. In this article, you will learn all the details.


What is a Packaged Product?

It is a product made up of multiple identical units that are sold as one unit. For example, a carton of water that contains 6 bottles, or a carton of chocolate that contains several bars. You can sell it as a single unit (piece) or as a full pack, depending on the customer’s preference.

Steps to Add a Packaged Product Manually

Step 1: Select the Product Type

  • Go to Products & Inventory > Products > New Product.

  • Select Single Product if the product has no options.

  • Select Variable Product if the product has options such as flavor or size.

Step 2: Add Product Information

  • Enter the main product details.

  • Add options and variants (for Variable Products).

Step 3: Enable the Pack Option

  • Enable the option This product is sold in pack.

  • Enter the pack sizes (example: 12, 24).

  • Press ENTER after entering each pack.

  • The name and SKU for each pack will be generated automatically, and you can edit them if needed.

Step 4: Add Stock and Pricing

  • Enter the stock and pricing details.

Step 5: Categorize the Product

  • Add the category, supplier, and brand.

Step 6: Add the Product to the Platform

  • Click Save. The product will be added directly to the Products section. You can start selling it or add purchase invoices and other operations.

FAQs

  1. Can I disable sales or purchases for one of the packs?
    Yes, you can. Uncheck (✔) the option Sellable or Purchasable.

  2. I entered the wrong initial cost. How can I fix it?
    After saving the product, the initial cost cannot be modified manually or updated via Excel. You must delete the product and re-add it.

  3. Can I issue stock adjustments or transfer stock for packaged products?
    Yes, you can, using the SKU for each pack.

  4. Is there a limit to the number of options or packs I can add?
    No, there is no limit. You can add as many options and packs as you need.

  5. Can I disable stock management for just one pack of the product?
    No, you cannot. Stock management settings apply to all packs.

  6. Does the product name change when I switch the platform language to English?

    No, product names appear exactly as entered. You can add both Arabic and English names in the same field when creating the product so that it appears in both languages.
