How to Upload Simple Products Easily

Single products (also known as simple products) are among the most commonly used in retail and service businesses. That’s why Rewaa provides an easy way to upload them using an Excel file.

Step 1: Download the Excel File

  1. Go to: Products & Inventory > Products > Import > Quick Import

  2. Select the branch (location) where you want to upload the products

  3. Click the Download iconto download the Excel file to your device

Step 2: Fill in the Product Data

  1. Read the instructions in the "READ ME" sheet.

  2. Go to the "Products, Quantities, and Prices" sheet.

  3. Hover over key fields such as Product Name and SKU to understand the required inputs.

  4. Enter your product data.

  5. Review the Validation column to ensure the data is correct.

  6. Click the 💾 icon to save your changes, then close the file.

Step 3: Upload the Excel File to the Platform

  1. Go to: Products & Inventory > Products > Import > Quick Import.

  2. Click Browse Files to select the file from your device, or drag and drop it into the upload area.

  3. Once the upload is complete, you’ll see a ✅ checkmark.

  4. Click Next to validate your data.

Step 4: Final Review Before Importing

Once Rewaa validates the file, a summary screen will appear showing:

  • The total number of products in the file.

  • The number of products ready to import.

  • A warning if there are products with errors, along with the number of items that need correction.

Step 5: Import the Data

If all data is correct:

  • Click Import to upload the products to the platform.

If there are errors, you can choose one of the following options:

Option 1: Import Valid Data Only

a. Download the Error Report to view the products that need fixing

b. Click Import — only the valid rows will be uploaded

Option 2: Fix the Errors and Re-upload the File

a. Click Download Edit Report to see which rows have errors

b. Correct the issues in the original file

c. Click Replace File, then upload the corrected version


FAQs

1. What’s the difference between the short Excel file and the detailed one?

The short file includes only the most commonly used fields for uploading products.

The detailed file contains additional data fields for advanced setups.

2. Can I use the short file to upload product bundles or composite products?

No, the short file only supports uploading simple-type products.

3. What happens if the internet disconnects during the import?

The import will pause. Once the connection is restored, it will automatically resume.

4. What happens if I leave a required field empty?

Any row with missing required fields will not be imported. A message will appear showing the error.

5. How can I verify the accuracy of my data before uploading?

Check Column L (Validation) — it will show any errors so you can fix them before importing.

6. How long does it take to import data into the platform?

It depends on the file size. If it takes longer than 5 minutes, a message will appear to notify you.

7. Can I continue working on the platform while the file is importing?

Yes, if the import takes more than 5 minutes, you’ll see a message. Click “Close and notify me when it’s done” to continue working. Once the import is complete, a confirmation message will appear.
